This original Broadway musical comedy follows a group of aging Broadway stars - in search of publicity - who help a high school student fight for the right to bring her girlfriend to prom. This critically acclaimed production received seven Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical, for its heartwarming, hilarious story and knock-out performances. The production won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical.  It was later adapted into a Netflix film, directed by Ryan Murphy, bringing its message of acceptance and love to a wider audience, and remains a highly popular title in licensing.
