The Last Seder

Based on her hit play, Jennifer Maisel’s screenplay, The Last Seder, won Showtime’s Tony Cox Award.  Rosalind Productions produced the play Off-Broadway in 2012-13 and plans to begin shooting the feature film adaptation in 2026. The four Price sisters reunite for their final Passover in the family home before their exhausted mother sells the house and their once-charismatic father is put in a facility due to Alzheimer’s. Over the course of the holiday, the Prices navigate exposed secrets, unexpected connections and long-simmering confrontations, within their nuclear family and with their partners.  Blending humor and emotional depth, the story offers a timeless exploration of love, loss, and generational renewal, seen through the lens of a Long Island Jewish family. In the vein of beloved American comedies about tradition and togetherness (The Farewell, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Family Stone), The Last Seder delivers rich cultural specificity with broad, universal resonance.
